The Solenoid Inline Shut-off Valve allows a diver to isolate the solenoid, in case the solenoid starts to leak oxygen into the loop or completely fails in the open position. This allows the diver to keep their oxygen supply valve in the open position and easily control PO2 via manual addition without having to turn on/turn off their supply valve. This can be invaluable to an already task-loaded diver in the middle of a decompression or overhead dive where other tasks are also necessary to perform. Note: For use on O2ptima rebreathers only.
