“Harry” is an Adelaide based anaesthetist and physician in diving medicine who has held a passion for all things aquatic since he was a small boy. He did his FAUI OW course with Adelaide Skin Diving Centre in 1979 and soon after took up underwater photography which remains a major part of his diving.
In the mid 80’s he began cave diving and with the advent of “technical diving” his focus has more recently moved to utilising mixed gas rebreathers to explore and document caves in Australia, NZ and Vanuatu. A self confessed depth junkie, the planning and logistics required to safely explore deep caves in remote locations are what really tickle his fancy!
He has published widely in the international diving literature and his images have been used in advertisements, books and magazines worldwide.
Recent projects include the exploration of the deep sections of Piccaninnie Ponds, the Pearse Resurgence and radiolocation work in the terminus of Cocklebiddy Cave.
