John completed a diving course in 1973 and began Cavediving in the same year after a club trip to Mt. Gambier, South Australia. As a 34 year member of the CDAA and current Penetration Diver instructor, John has dived caves in Florida, NZ, Yugoslavia and Italy as well as caves throughout Australia since the late 70’s. John is also a member of the ASF – CDG and still dives and maps caves particularly in the Mt Gambier region.
As a PADI Master Instructor, John has served as a PADI Course Director for 15 years in Melbourne and is both a Trimix, CCR rebreather and OC diver. John enjoys deep wrecks and can also often be found off the South East coast of Oz diving the casualties of WW2.
Recent expeditions have included Kija Blue in the Kimberleys, and Cocklebiddy Cave in the Nullabor, both in Western Australia, the Niagara shipwreck in NZ, the Junee Resurgence in Tasmania, with more to follow….
